The Issyk Lake, formed about 8000 years ago, is located in the Issyk gorge of the Zailiysky Alatau, about 70 km from the city of Almaty.
The lake is surrounded by mountains and has a very beautiful, turquoise color. The Issyk Lake can change color several times a day, which attracts tourists to this mysterious place!
You can have a small picnic on the lake, or stop by a trout farm along the way, where you can go fishing and taste the fish you just caught.
The Bear Waterfall is located in the Turgen Gorge, 70 km from the city of Almaty, in the Ile-Alatau National Park. The Turgen gorge has 7 waterfalls, but the most popular among tourists is the Bear waterfall, since the walking time to it is about half an hour. On the way to the waterfall, there is also a lot to see, a seething river, small wooden bridges, picnic lawns, majestic mountains. In the summer, this place is famous for its lush greenery, and a variety of herbs and flowers.
Optionally, we can visit the ostrich farm or a museum in the city of Issyk.
- Departure from Almaty
In the morning the driver will pick you up from the appointed address and you will go to the Bear waterfall (85 km, about 2 hours)
- Arrival at the Bear Waterfall
Upon arrival, you will have trekking (2.5 km, 2 hours)
- Visiting the Issyk lake
After visiting the Bear Falls, you will go to the Issyk Lake (40 km, around 50 minutes), upon arrival you will have a walking part (2 hours)
- Return to Almaty
After the Issyk lake part of the trip you will go to the city (70 km, about 1.5 hours); Upon arrival, the driver will drive to the appointed spot.
