Kazakhstan FlyArystan low-cost airline will be based in one regional city in Kazakhstan — Aktobe already in the second quarter of 2020, the press service of the company.
Aktobe will become the fourth aviation base FlyArystan after Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Karaganda.
“From now on, Aktobe citizens will not have to travel through Almaty or Nur Sultan to get to the final destination. Now, thanks to FlyArystan, local residents will be able to fly daily and directly from point A to point B at affordable prices, while saving their precious time. Thanks to the two aircraft that will be based in this wonderful city, we will be able to carry out up to 10-12 non — stop routes,” said Peter foster, President and chief Executive officer of Air Astana.
The new air base will create approximately 100-120 jobs. New jobs will appear not only in the airline, but also in other areas-tourism, restaurant, shopping and entertainment business, etc.
Akim of Aktobe region Urazalin Ondasyn considers Aktobe international airport extremely attractive, as the region borders with two neighboring countries, as well as six regions of Kazakhstan. This is a fundamental factor in the development of local tourism, a significant increase in which has been observed in recent years.
“If only last year about 3 billion tenge of investments were attracted for the development of tourism projects in the territory of Aktobe region, this year the figure increased by 300%. So we have high hopes for the available wide network of destinations and affordable fares FlyArystan and hope for mutually beneficial cooperation”, — said the head of Aktobe region.
The first budget airline started its operations with two 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft in Almaty. By 2020, the low-cost airline plans to expand its fleet to 10 aircraft.
