Since October 27, 2019, Air Astana, the largest airline in Kazakhstan, transfers its flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Domodedovo airport.
What are the changes related to?
The change of the airport concerns flights both from Nur Sultan and Almaty. The booking system of Air Astana has already been updated with these changes for flights operated from October 27, 2019.
The change of the base airport in the capital of Russia is connected, first of all, with the signing of a code-sharing agreement with S7 airlines, for which Domodedovo airport is one of the basic air transport hubs.
According to the current schedule, Air Astana weekly operates 12 flights on the route “Nur-Sultan — Moscow — Nur-Sultan” and 16 — on the route “Almaty — Moscow — Almaty”.
Flights are carried out on comfortable Airliners Airbus and Boeing including the new Airbus 321LR, with fully folding chairs-beds in business class and chairs with 10-inch screens in economy class.
